Wendy Weatherford first moved to
Cambria in 1974, as the new
owner of what is now, the
Creekside Motel, quite a
challenge for a 24 year old
young woman born and raised on
the beaches of Southern
California.
As a
5th generation Realtor, her
family encouraged her to go
into Real Estate. Finally,
after selling the motel, Wendy
did venture into Real Estate in
1985. Starting with Century 21
Coast Realty in Cambria. Wendy
went on to become a "Million
Dollar Seller" her first year in
the business. In 1985 that was
quite an accomplishment as ocean
front cottages were selling
for under $150,000.
Over
the years, while still living in
Cambria, Wendy moved her
business into San Luis Obispo
and sold Real Estate with
Century 21 there for several
years. The yearning for Cambria
did not go away, and so she
again joined the original
Century 21 Coast Realty in
Cambria, becoming a 'Century 21
Top Seller', award winning
agent each year from then on.
Several years later the
opportunity arose to be in the
position to purchase the
company. Wendy went on
to own, operate and manage both
the Century 21 Coast Realty
offices in Cambria and Cayucos.
In
recent years, 2006, the company
was sold and now Wendy is
enjoying the referral and word
of mouth repeat business in the
small, intimate environment of
Pines by the Sea Properties,
Inc. A decided and well
received change from the
corporate world.
"We
have a nice high profile
boutique office at 761 Main St
Cambria and share the patio
with the 'Cambria Coffee
Roasting Company', formerly the
Coffee Den, .
We
have the luxury of being in a
location that is just about
perfect, lots of foot traffic,
next door to the Chamber of
Commerce on one side and fresh
ground roast coffee and espresso
on the other; most everyone
stops in to say 'hi' and inquire
about the 'market'.
This
is the place where the next
phase of my heart and business
will stay for the busy Real
Estate years to come. I love
what I do..........."
